Savings Rate Changes
Last month, the Bank of England decreased the Base Rate from 5.00% to 4.75%. This followed a 0.25% decrease in August, making a total reduction of 0.50% since August 2024.
Following these changes, we have decided to reduce our Savings account rates by 0.40%, from Wednesday 18th December 2024.

It’s always a difficult decision to reduce rates for our Savings Members. We work hard to offer long-term good value for you, which is why we have chosen not to pass on the full 0.50% decrease to you.
Your savings really matter
Thank you for continuing to support Ecology and the great work we do together. Your Savings help to fund mortgage projects that benefit our environment and the communities in which we live. These projects mean so much to so many, and I thank you for helping to make this happen.
I’d also encourage you to review the full range of our Savings accounts here, which show our new rates. Please contact us if you feel another account might be more beneficial to you. If you wish to move to another account, or close your account, we will waive any notice period for 30 days from the date of this notification.
